"FT8 False Decodes with callsign containing / (slash)
______________________________________________________________________Over the past few days a number of people have decoded FP5XEQ on FT8 and it appears it has really been FJ/SP9FIH. When / callsigns are used
there is an error (false decode) that can be created. See https://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/FT4_FT8_QEX.pdfW2AXR, Alex, says, "I have confirmed that putting the correct call in the "DX Call" box in WSJT-X or JTDX corrects the false decodes. Without that, the replies may appear to originate from FP5. e.g., I observed someone call FJ/SP9FIH, and get a reply from FP5XEQ. This confirms the hash collision theory, and also confirms the spots are not a pirate, but also not real FP5". There [was] an enormous pile of guys on 21.091 FT8 calling FP5 - they will not get a reply, as they
are calling the wrong guy.""
